------------------------------------------
Creation City - Boston
Creation City was formed in Boston in 1976 with the aid of Benny Petrucci (winds)and Jack
Jarnis (guitar). 'Cranberry Dreams' is a good example of the free, funky modal style of this group.
BENNY AND JACK - Benny led (and still leads) numerous wedding and society band
in the Boston area, and first met me when he hired me as his keyboardist (1971-75). He also
is an arranger for swing and jazz bands. His father, an accordionist, often played for the
Kennedys at their Hyannis compound.
I met Jack when we were both in the folk-rock group Kelly St.  John, led by Kelly Glenny
and Victor St. John, which was the toast of Boston and Baltimore
discos in the very hot summer of 1974. (You can get a taste of their sound and Jack's
lead vocal singing on the 'I've Got a Feeling' clip of his composition on this page).
Jack Jarnis joined a Top 40  road band in the mid-1970s, and then vanished from
knowledge of his friends. (If you are there,  Jack, give me a call!).
